Updated Dish Anywhere app

Both my iPhone and android updated the Dish Sling app today. Now the app does not show my 922 online, but that my 612 is connected to my network (which it is).

I cannot get either phone to see that the 922 is online, however if I go to a channel, it will stream it live! So the major problem is, I can't access my DVR. Has anyone else experienced this with any Sling enabled system and their iPhone or Android?

Try rebooting the 922.

I did try a reset on the DHCP first and of course that didn't work. Wonder why the reboot matters that much?

I believes it resets the status on the server then a true reading is made showing it online.

This app works surprising well on my Ipad Mini with IOS6 and I do not have sling. It is a good remote. ron

I've not had any problems with the app since the reboot. The new interface is nice. Glad it wasn't a bug in the app causing my 922 to not be seen.

There is not a remote for the Hopper but there is for a 722. The Hopper also has Dish Explorer which is a very useful Hopper remote.

The old version of the app did though, I thought. Where is Dish Explorer available from ? Or is that the one for the Hopper 2 and only for Apple devices at the moment ?

Dish Explorer is only on iPad right now but android is in the works. Works with original and new hopper.

It does for my connected network receivers which are a 612 and 922.

I can't get it to work with my hopper at all. I can use DISH remote access with my hopper and it works fine after a small delay .

useless for now. bb@home most movies locked. ones unlocked won't play. can't control volume. shows 622 I have 722 can't access dvr no live tv button , but it looks pretty!

So far mine is working pretty good-it actually works driving down the road now with our phone on 3g which it wouldn't do b4-mine also shows it as a 622 reciever but I have the 722.With the laptop hooked up to tv in bedroom now its like having an extra dvr! Thanks dish!!!

Notice a bug that needs fixing. When using Dish Anywhere on Android App it locks my 722 on what ever channel its on. No responds from the remote. App works great (a lot faster then it use to be) If Watch on TV is selected it changes the channel immediately, noticed no delay at all. But if I were to watch something with the app and my wife wanted to watch something at home she will have no control of the 722. It's like the remote is totally dead. A soon as you exit from the app all control returns.

That sounds like normal function. Is she trying to watch tv2 at home when you are using the app? Do you have a sling adapter and were you watching a Live or DVR event?
