Echostar 16 at 61.5W

Being in an all SD market - Binghamton, NY, I'm wondering if there needs to be some extra work done to get HD to the uplink site. I'm afraid that will cause a long delay in getting us HD. Or maybe they already have that in place in preparation for the switch.

You folks complaining about not having CW in HD should try life in a market with no HD at all. It's pretty annoying. We don't even get CW in HD over the air here. In fact many of our local stations are still unable to originate HD programming so the local news and all syndicated shows are still in SD.

i live in panama central america and evrything was fine until like a month ago somthing happened and i couldn't record anymore because there was no guide but i could still watch tv yesterday i LOST THE SIGNAL COMPLETELY what to do help anybody
i am on 61.5

See separate thread you started on this topic. If you must remain on 61.5, there are no longer any conus locals left; they are all on spotbeams on the new E16 satellite. There are two markets not currently available to customers, but I don't see why they won't completely go away rather than becoming available.

What about Chicago and Denver. They show up as CONUS but not Available.
Can you hit 77?

I live in a top ten market. We should have all our nets in HD. It comes with living in a top ten market.

Edit: Should have checked the uplink report first. About time!

I am now as of 2 days ago getting signal on TP 1 thru 17 in the rage of 60 to 78 on a 43" dish. Before that I was receiving up to 85 but only on odd TP. I really can't figure that out. Before any ones mentions that is a bounce on the switch from other SAT in the 110/119 is not. All these 61.5 are locked.

I just can't can't figure out why is why are transferring from E15 TP ____ to E15 to another TP. Where is E*16 to take the load. I know is there. After Nov 20, 2012 launch and here we are in almost the 3rd month. I call E*16 the Top Secret SAT since no ones knows anything but transferring from TP ____ to unknown TID.

OK, so I have read through all 66 pages of this thread, and thought I was all set. I am having troubles with a number of our office since the E16 changes. I will just speak of the Pittsburgh office now. I had been picking up WTAE, and the locals, from E12 61.5 Conus. I now should get them from E16 61.5W SP30. Although our office is a bit outside Pittsburgh downtown, I still see the map will get me a 51.6 dBW. I have reset many times. I have run check switch, and reset. What else am I missing? Is there a way to see the transponder/beam signal on the tuner? All I see is transponder, but no beams. Any help is welcome, and thanks.

When is the subscription list for 61.5 going to be updated to show what is now on the bird? Sure would like to see that done so we can see what markets are on what tps and spotbeams w/ the maps.

It will require a lot of sleuthing to figure out which markets are on which spotbeams and transponders. I would think that if everyone reported in the transponder they are getting their locals on 61.5 and which market they are in, that would help nelson61 out tremendously, amirite?
