DISH Channel Moves Today...

doesn't dish ever learn from their past mistakes...........if another dispute is on the horizon it will be another pain the rear
tired of all these games dish plays

they obviously don't see it as a mistake..they are just using successful negotiation techniques

I always felt that Tru,formerly court tv,was in the wrong location. When it was court tv it fit the news channel groupings.Nothing could be further from the truth now (pun intended).I don't understand why they would move it just before the opening of the ncaa tourny though.

we have a lot of timers for Tru TV what a giant pain in my a**

I would think by now they would have the ability to do this without messing up timers.

Moving isn't really the issue to me, not having the warning for a couple of weeks is. I too have some timers on Tru, never did before, wonder if their ratings are getting any better?

I would think that they have gotten better with the popularity of impractical jokers for example. I know over the past few years it has become one of the most watched "cable" channels in our home.

Seriously?

If dish wants to play musical chairs with channels, that's fine - at least engineer a receiver that doesn't require ME to spend MY time RESETTING all of my timers.

I realize that we are just little people in Dish's eyes and they could care less what us lowly peasants have to put up with but give me a break - this shouldn't be hard for software engineers to figure out.

I believe E* does this less often than D*, unless things have changed in recent years.

2 words: Dish Pass
3 words: Seek and Record

Sure, but see I use a handy feature on my hopper called "save series". Simple, easy, nice. "Works good, last long time." :) Then they shuffle channels and the time saved using that feature is lost as I now must go through and search to create new ones and delete old. I had to use the seek and record to setup timers for some shows that currently are not on so I can see where it is useful. There should just be a better way that does not cause so much hassle for the customer is all.

It isn't that much more difficult to set a Dish Pass or Seek Record timer compared to "save series"...more flexibility means more options which translates to a few more button presses. If you want rigid, basic and simple, that's what you'll get.
