HR44 now Available for Sale at Solid Signal

I just received the email today that Solid Signal now has HR44's in stock to sale.

I am very tempted to go ahead & order one,return my HR22,HR23,& H24,& keep my HR24 & H25 so that I don't have to pay extra for a SWM16 & four cable SWM LNB.

Anyhow, I'd tell almost anyone to sit it out, DirecTV will do $99 or Free for most customers for a Genie upgrade.
If you have a HR34, enjoy it and forget about the HR44.

Not having a Genie set-up & actually having the money right now to lease a HR44(thank you tax refund),I would most likely go this route. I'd be getting the Genie model that I wanted & I would not be playing "Russian Roulette" with what model will I actually get.

Honestly if you wait a couple months, they'll get the software bugs slimmed down, and almost every service call / install with be HR44.

Of course I'm not one to talk, I paid $249 for my Genie from a 3rd party seller on ebay about a month after release.

Well,second choice is to order one with eBay,they usually have a far better price.

This is correct, at this time only one Genie per account. Hope is that it will change in the future, but as of today, one.

Well the "wait 2 weeks" does seem to carry over into June,seeing that the available now to order just came out today.

Still means that it will carry over until June before one will receive this from Solid Signal.

While I am severely tempted to pull the trigger,my present set up(HR22,HR23,HR24,H24,& H25) is working just fine under wholehome DVR at this present time,which means that I'd rather just sit on my money for a rainy day.

Only reason I see to switch to the 44 is for the fiber optic output. I think the 34 only has a coaxial output.

IF the HR44 is based off the HR34 (?), will it come out knowing all the info the HR34 has, meaning less bugs to deal with ?
