Fox Sports 1

Have they came out yet and said for sure what providers will carry it?

Comcast, Cablevision, Charter, Cox, Verizon, AT&T and Suddenlink -- distributors that account for nearly 45 million subscribers -- have committed to carry FS1 on its Aug. 17 launch, Fox has confirmed. That leaves DirecTV, Dish Network, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks -- accounting for more than 47 million subscribers -- as the distributors that do not have deals in place for FS1 yet even though its launch date is just five days away. All four distributors are in active negotiations for FS1, sources say. (Time Warner Cable handles programming negotiations for Bright House.) When Fox announced the channel earlier this year, it said it planned to launch FS1 into 90 million homes.

Being so new, I would say the carriers have the power at this point to get a deal they want. FS1 being available in less than 1/2 the homes isn't good.

So what does it take to get FoxSports2 (FUEL) in HD? Does Dish just have to pay more or is there more to it than that? Is there any chance that the negotiations for FS1 involve including FS2 in HD?

If this pans out like the article says...whats up w twc...they just got nfl network last season after not having it for x amount of years (never heard what the big dispute was) and now this w fox

Look forward to hearing the official word from dish (fingers crossed)

Makes me wonder whether the early adopters of this channel (Comcast, Cablevision, Charter, Cox, Verizon, AT&T and Suddenlink) ?overpaid for their contracts by not holding out longer.

Awesome. I'm glad to see Dish offering more sports channels. Hopefully this means both providers signed on for FXX too.

Edit: now we just need to find out which packages will get the new channels. Hopefully at least AT 200 and up.
