There is a DISH retailer chat today at 12 Noon, I will be tuned in and reporting anything of interest, however because of the date and because its a month before CES I am not expecting much of anything to be announced on today's chat.

Well I was wrong... they will be announcing the new Spring Promotion TODAY.

The DISH press event, will be stream lived from CES.

New offer starts Jan. 17th runs until June 12th. Looks like just an extension of the current offers.

They are making a change on the Free HD offer.

HD free for first 24 months and then customer pays $10 a month for it. By far the worst idea I've seen them have in a long time.

But one thing changing is HD Free for life is going away for NEW customers.

The iPad offer is switching from the iPad 2 to the iPad Mini.

What are your thoughts on the HD promotion now Scott?

They will be changing the iPad's they give away, starting in January cusomters will get an iPad Mini instead of an iPad2.

Pricing Changes coming, but not finalized yet, expect news on this in the next two weeks.

They kind of said the reason was as they will soon have to pay more for somoe HD content which is currently missing...

I can only guess that was talking about DISNEY.
