Correction on the CC problem. It still doesn't start reliably watching recordings. Another annoying thing I see on both Hoppers is that unwatched shows sometimes show Resume as an option.

Mine was updated overnight and I played with it for ~15 minutes. I seemed to notice a speed-up - blue-button for opening apps was noticeably quicker, navigating the Sochi app was quicker. Will see more over the weekend.
Got it.. hopper very slow at changing channels from local to non local. Notice no other changes.

You aren't alone. I've had it for a couple days now, and haven't seen any noticeable change in speed.
With my 2 hoppers updated to 425 thinks seem better. Now the big but, with both of them several preselected programs that were recorded showed only 1 minute of recording time as shown on info, but actually had another channels full program on it instead of the one wanted. In other words if channel 5 was preselected it might have recorded channel 195. These hoppers seem to be job security for some people.
Looking a bit closer the wrong recordings were on the same channel just a different time slot and in at least one case was not a program ever selected. in another case on channel 242 wanting to record Black Gold it recorded the Detroit Pawn show completely but named it Black Gold with 1 minute total time in info. I was mistaken regarding the channel shift on the couple I checked. < This Hopper was updated on 2/14 to 245. The other one was updated on the 13th and programing shift recording was on channel 188 and recorded a program not included at all to ever be recorded
Are people still seeing the "100% watched" bug when the episode hasn't been watched ? I don't consider it a big deal - simply remember to pick "Start over" vs "Resume".
I've seen that on back to back recordings of the same show, and I've seen Resume as an option on unwatched shows, but only on the 424 and 425 updates. The point is that Dish is doing the 2 steps fwd and 2 steps back on their updates.
That's the beauty of Dish (and the other one), same hardware, lots of different results from subs. Sometimes when I'm daydreaming I imagine Dish software engineers running the internet and .....
