Wings and Blue Jackets tied at 2 ....

Does it seem like Gustav Nyquist is the only offensive player the Wings have ... he has another 2 goals tonight, had 2 the last game ...

Wings lose 4-2. Damn. Now we have 4 teams all tied at 80 points. Using the ROW tiebreaker:

7th: Blue Jackets
8th: Red Wings
9th: Capitals
10th: Maple Leafs

If the season ended today, with these 4 teams tied in points, unfortunately the Red Wings would be Out.
The tiebreaker in that case is total Wins, Wings only havev34 at the moment while Columbus and Toronto have more.

Wings need to get on a roll to get in, they need to have more points or more wins ....

Need Wins/Points , Go Wings...

What a perfect hockey night.....Habs win, Leafs get knocked out of playoff contention, Price gets his 30th 'W' with a shutout, pacioretty nets his 100th. I slept like a baby.

Wings beat the Leafs 4-2. However Columbus also won, so the Wings are still stuck in 8th place.

On a side note, good job by the CBC for accidentally flipping the switch to the Montreal game for 15 seconds towards the end of the 3rd period with about 2 mins left.

Plus this pretty much eliminates the leafs which makes it a successful season at that :D

Not really ...
Toronto is only 2 points behind the Wings, Toronto has 6 games left ... yes it would be hard, but ya never know.
Wings need to keep winning.
Washington is also right there, only 2 points behind.

On the positive side, the Wings and Caps have played 2 less games than Toronto

At the very least they are on the ropes, they needed last nights game as they have been on a bit of a down slide

Bruins win the shootout in Philly, and have now won nine straight road games. That's the most in the 90 year history of the franchise. Bruins now with 110 points, three ahead of St. Louis for the Presidents' Trophy.

Presidents Trophy is usually the Kiss of Death ...

Keep that in mind ...
