Ok Baseball guys, got a question ....

Men on 1st and 3rd, no out.
Batter hits in to a double play and the runner from 3rd scores .... they said the batter does NOT get an rbi ... ?

Why is there no rbi, the batter still got the run in.
Is that the correct call ?

Yes, no rbi in that case. The theory is that they could have gotten the runner from third if they had time to turn two.

I always though that if you caused 2 outs you didn't deserve the RBI.

John Lackey had himself a brief, but eventful Red Sox career.

He was the big-contract savior, then had a bloated ERA, Tommy John, the divorce, the weight, chicken and beer, the rededication last year, out-Verlandering Verlander in Detroit in October, getting the WS clinching win.

Why Jimbo? If you can't tell the player by how he looks, you probably don't know who it is anyways and you need to look him up.

How many teams are left now that don't?
Yankees
Cubs
who else?

I only know a few yankees by face, I would know them more if they had names.

Everyone knows Jeter & Mariono .... as for the rest, you could post thier pictures here and I couldn't tell you who they were.
I probably wouldn't recognize Jaba last year either.

This team, the Braves, are driving me nuts. They will 9 in a row and then they lose 8 in a row. Horrible and inconsistent offense with scattered pitching. If they can't beat the Nationals this coming series, they are toast!!!

THIS sounds alot like the Tigers, Tigers will get very good to Great pitching on most nights, till the pen gets involved and with the LITTLE Offense they show, they end up losing alot of games they should win.

The Reds are like that too, although their pitching is really good. The offense just plain sucks for the most part.

And the same is happening today with the Tigers.
8th inning, 1-0 NY.

Porcello pitched real well again today.
7.0 innings and 1 run.

Joe Nathan makes unflattering gesture at Tigers fans following win

OK... Everyone knows my "love" for Marlins owner Loria.... But to have this team with 4 games out of the wildcard and missing two of the better arms in the NL in Jose Fernandez and Henderson Alvarez... And still be this code, amazing.
