Lets try to keep this away from a religion/God debate. There is always the pit for that. ;)

Nobody discovered anything. The viewers of the respective channels will go back to viewing them as they did before. :(
Being a Luddite curmudgeon (meaning only that I'm lower on the curve than most of you and slower/more reluctant to adapt), I actually DID discover something...how to use my SXM app. on my phone Bluetoothed to my "Ecorox" to serve as a rather acceptable alternative source for FNC...was more than enough to get me through the DTs...and it expanded my audio listening options and curiosity significantly...!

Ready for action. :D

Fox News also is the clear leader in legs and short skirts and it isn't getting there by accident. Based on a biography of Roger Ailes, who founded and runs the network, the orders apparently come down from the top: short skirts, lots of leg!

"The topic of the dress code and makeup of Fox News' female personalities has long been the subject of scrutiny among writers. Fox News host Gretchen Carlson recently admitted that "pants were not allowed on Fox & Friend

Now I get it../ explains it

Gretchen said that, and someone who just recently left was very unhappy about the dress code....And she said it was written into her contract that any skirt had to be above her knees....

Is the Fox dominance in the ratings a coincidence? I report. You decide.

The strategy seems to be working for the ultra-conservative Fox. The network has long been a mouthpiece for the Republican party and the Ailes-fueled right-wing fascination with exposed shapely legs may also help explain how we got Sarah Palin, who has nice legs, and not much else.

MSNBC is the mouthpiece for the Democratic party, but all of their female hosts sit behind a desk. Where the heck are the consultants on this one?

I understand the mantra that sex sells. And it clearly sells for Fox. I don't think we have reached NSFW yet, but it may well come once we start to see the legs of Wolf Blitzer or Bill O'Reilly.

Let's hope that day is a long, long way away.

I don't think you get it at all. Most important, the women (and men) are all smart and qualified, Ailes wouldn't have it any other way. And, if you characterize the network's content as ultra-conservative, you must not be watching. :biggrin

Good! ( whoever that is.. Left)

"Anchor Bob Sellers remembered Ailes once calling the control booth. 'I was doing the weekend show with Kiran Chetry. He called up and said, 'Move that damn laptop, I can't see her legs!'"

True. But you have to admit that Fox News may be a schooch bit partisan to one side.

My God has a transporter.
???? I thought he was an astronaut.

What do you mean, "not much else"? I think she has many "interesting" body parts.

Me characterized?
That's some article ...not my words and with most quotes from the very people who work there.
I spoke into google on the tablet and that article came up.
Period.
My words would get me ejected from here FYI.

And you are correct.
I haven't watch that thing since WMD was sold with defined purpose.
( until today & in comparison nature only)

Max is 1$ for HBO subs @ dish right now if wanted
, why would I watch those Dupont made bodies on a supposed news channel.

It was good.

A bunch more people discovered that cnn, fox, and msnbc all regurgitate pap and bloviate the day away and more viewers broke their addictive watching habits.
Now they go for a walk or do something else that is productive.

Hopefully the fights will continue and a glimmer or hope remains that viewing costs will stabalize.

Substitute the NY RSN's, make it forever, and that certainly goes into how DISH decides these things. Charlie said exactly that for the RSN's.
