FOX O&O to carry H&I

Fox will launch H&I in the fourth quarter in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Detroit, Tampa, Orlando and Charlotte.

Houston is what I come up with when trying to match markets or Fox owns the network and markets that don't have H&I right now

Yes that is correct KRIV for some reason has'nt added it yet. I was really am surprised the information was'nt posted on tv newscheck yet.....where the tee vee guyd experts get theirs from......I may be nosey and call weigel why Houston does'nt have it yet.....Cant go on KTXH because they have a 1080 and 3 480's already....

You might as well add Atlanta Metro. From the viewers on the Tee Vee Guyd FB page they cant get the WGTA station that carrys the 3 Weigel stations from Toccoa Ga 95 miles away. So that the 8th market maybe out of it too. Movies and Decades are on Metro Atlanta Stations WUPA (CW owned by CBS) and WAGA (Fox o&o).

What is the eleventh city? They say 11 markets in the article but only names 10.
Houston. However some folks in the Atlanta market are saying they cannot get the station out of Toccoa Ga, that has H&I on 32.1 WGTA. So according to them they are not getting it as of now....The closest town that gets it is Gainsville and that's 45 miles away

because they don't.;)
Same reason why NY or LA doesnt either. But they will add it soon

My Network is 720p so KTXH has a 720p and 3 480i's. But one is a simulcast of MundoMax (MundoFox...Mundo crap....whatever Mundo name they are using). They can easily drop that to add H&I

Why did you post the same thing twice?
Just wondering.....

Looking at the programming on Wikipedia it seems to be the already heavily repeated shows. The only bright spot was coming and it looks like all the Startrek series. Must be the FOX connection.

none of the Crime shows are on any other Weigel owned properties

Question about Chicago - we currently get H&I on some other subchannel, but our current FOX Channel (32-1) has no subchannels. Does that mean that H&I will be at some point moving to 32-2?

highly unlikely. From what I understood this was only in the markets where H&I is not right now. I am in the same boat in Minneapolis as H&I is on Hubbard's ABC KSTP station (our FOX KMSP is O&O).

The station in Chicago that has it is a Weigel owned station (same folks that own H&I). I see its on low powered WWME 23-2 AND full powered WCIU 26-4. So I don't see it moving off of there.

If WGTA is airing it on 32-1, then it will have must-carry on cable so they wouldn't need to affiliate with WAGA to get it on cable locally.

O&O means Owned and Operated. WTIC is owned by Tribune, not Fox, so it is not included in this deal.

Ah, ok. Thanks!

What does a Fox connection have to d with Star Trek? Or did I misread that?

What is O&O? Typo - OTA?
Trip answered the question. Its Owned and Operated. That means FOX owns the station.

As example for each of the Big 4 nets these cities have their particular net owned by the network
ABC..NY, LA, Chicago, Philly, Houston, San Fran, Raleigh and Fresno
CBS..NY, LA, Chicago, Philly, Dallas, San Fran, Boston, Sacramento, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Denver, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. They also own the CW in Tampa, Seattle and Atlanta (the CBS is owned by someone else)
FOX...NY, LA, Chicago, Philly, Dallas, San Fran, Houston, Atlanta, DC, Detroit, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Tampa, Orlando, Charlotte, Gainesville FL and Austin, TX
NBC is NY, LA, Chicago, Philly, Dallas, San Fran, DC, Miami, San Diego, and Hartford. They do own some Telemundo stations too
