Extra Innings Question for non-carried RSNs?

I chatted with CSR just now to see what they said... Wow... Needless to say - doesn't look like they are going to have the YES feed ;)
A CSR would be clueless as to whether or not YES is coming. Mind you they are probably correct in the assumption but they have no idea what is coming down the road....

I can only speak of what happened during the free previews last year as I didn't subscribe for the year, but there were times they had the SNY feed or YES feed for Yankees, or CSN Philly feed for the Phillies.

I had EI last year on DISH. If DISH accessed MLB provided feeds for SNY, Yes or CSN Philly, they did it very sparingly. I don't recall ever seeing one. If you are a fan of the Yankees, the Mets or the Phillies, assume away feeds only.

I didn't get one Yankees or Mets Home game on Dish last season.
And barely any away games if SNY and YES were to simulcast the games. The away feeds were blacked out.

Yeah, I didn't have extra innings, so it was only during the free period. Agreed - was a very small sample and only saw it very sparingly.

Yeah...bizarre scheduling to start out the season.

Heck, I'll just be happy to see them play anywhere besides KC. Time to move on, dammit. :(

Not EI, but MLB network is showing all 3 games against the Phillies this weekend. Curious to see which feed they show. I have all 3 games set to record, but I'm not sure if Sunday will be blacked out on MLB Net alternate. I'm thinking the regular MLB will be blacked out here because they have the Red Sox, so I am hoping to get the Mets on the alternate channel. Have to squeeze the viewing in because in addition to having a busy weekend ahead, Masters is on this weekend too.

Today on channel 898, Dish has the Phillies/Mets game in SD, and it is the SNY feed. No commercials - a special MLB Extra Innings slate goes up that says a commercial break is in progress and the game will resume shortly. Granted, the game is also on MLB Network in HD so no real need for this feed, but it goes to show that they do have a separate feed for the RSN's that aren't on Dish.

Channel 898??
What's it in Spanish?
And it's blacked out in my area on MLB Network.
Game finder says it's on 476-9, and guess what, Blacked out again.

I'm sure they always have previously. If you looked at "thelist" you would see some stations called "HDSKL" (or something similar in title). Those were the feeds of games that they got separately and not the games that were on RSN's they could remap

edit: if you look at thelist its channels 5980-5986

The Hoppers are Channel 476-
For MLB EI.
Apparently the VIPs are in the 800 and 900s.

I know that.
What I was saying was those 59XX numbers are the original channel numbers of "feeds" of games that Dish can get.
This is for games from the RSN's that Dish does not carry (or in the case of hockey...Canadian feeds like CBC, TSN and SN)
They then remap them to the NBA LP/ NHL CI/ MLB EI channels.
The only receivers that can see the 59XX numbers are engineering receivers :)

This is what it shows at the other site for those channel numbers

5980 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)
5981 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)
5982 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)
5983 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)
5984 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)
5985 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)
5986 HDSKD DISH RSN (Internal)

I watched the Mets/Phillies on EI today. It was the SNY feed and it was SD. I can't see myself paying that much money for the SD feed. Funny thing about MLB Network is that last week they had all 3 Mets/Phillies games listed and I set timers for them on my Hopper. Friday's game was there but by Saturday they were out of the grid even though my Saturday timer was still there. My Sunday timer just disappeared. I was able to watch the Saturday game on the local CW and the Sunday game on the EI free preview. I figure that's about 6 hours wasted!
