Look at this one! I just became the moderator of /r/satellite over at reddit. I noticed it had been poorly moderated and full of hack stuff so I asked the mod and he gave me the subreddit. Hopefully I can get it in to another place for sat discussion but not sure what the proper path would be at the moment. I am clearing out a bunch of old posts and I came across this. I was too young but I believe this was the time that Satellite was great and together maybe we can.. make satellite great again! I know it was a stretch but anyways heres the pic...

I saw a couple of those dishes back in the 80's, but I cannot remember who made them. I do remember some chatter about the feed being unstable in high winds. I can understand that since the feed legs attach so close to the hub. Here's an interesting website you may enjoy. http://www.rewindmuseum.com/vintagesatellite.htm There's a lot of different receivers and other equipment in it. Gives you an idea how far we've come.

Great link, thanks!

No problem. Just happened to run across that website some time ago. I like to look at it every once in a while just to refresh my memory on the equipment we used in those days. After finding FTA, I wish I hadn't been so hasty to get rid of the stand alone motor drive boxes I trashed several years back. Those would have came in handy for me and a lot of others in here. The old Drake units were a tough box. I can't remember ever having one go bad, unless it was taken out by lightening. But it's a nice to visit now and again.
