tv for streaming (Sling,Hulu.etc.) Internet service from my only provider in my area would be at $89.99 + taxes per month.So add the cost of streaming service I might as well keep cable.Is there a way to do it cheaper? I've been around a long time,but still learning.

Most of us don't factor in our internet costs when switching to streaming services because we already had internet when we were paying for cable/satellite. I went without a TV provider for about two years. That being said, I have cable with a Tivo now because the double play price was as good as what I would pay for internet plus Sling. If you can get a deal like that from your cable company there is no reason to switch to streaming TV.
The only way you are going to be able to stream for less money is if you find a cheaper internet provider. $89.99 plus taxes is probably not a great deal depending on how much speed you are getting.
Are you already paying for internet? If so, then that cost is there with cable as well, and the savings would be seen in the cost difference between cable and the streaming only.

You mentioned that your only other internet provider was $89.99 per month. You don't have to switch from Xfinity just because you are done with cable TV. What you need to do is find out how much Xfinity would cost just for internet to see if it's worth canceling the TV portion or not.
If the setup is like it is where I live, the double play is only $20 or so more. Comcast plays the loss-leader game in hopes that you aren't watching when your bill skyrockets.
Sling is certainly an alternative but basic Hulu is arguably not much worth chasing after.
