After helpful posts from a previous inquiry I decided to go ahead and cancel DirecTV for now and will be looking to start it back up in about a month. Almost immediately I got kind of a decent $50/mon credit offer for 12 months, when I passed on that and am now sending my stuff back I got what "looks" like a more promising offer. Both offers include free installation of 4 rooms and all new equipment with no up front charge. The problem is when I'm comparing setting up new service (Wife's Name) and using the Win Back offer they are e-mailing me it doesn't seem Apples to Apples, I've bolded the differences I'm confused on:

New Customer:
-Choice ALL $45 w/ Autopay for first year $100 Year 2
-4 Room DVR Setup $21
-Possible Regional Sports Fee
-$200 Visa Gift Card
-Free Premiums for 3 Months
-Free NFL Sunday Ticket MAX 2018
-When I make a mock order it lists this as my bill $66+Taxes and RSF in year 1

Win back Offer:
-Entertainment ALL $25 (Can I upgrade this to Choice ALL for $5? Is this including AutoPay $5 discount or is that assumed?)
-4 Room DVR Setup $21 ($35 Activation Fee because it's a phone order, it doesn't allow online so seems a bit silly, any good chance to waive this?)
-Possible Regional Sports Fee
-$300 Visa Gift Card (+$100 over other offer)
-Free Premiums for 3 Months
-Free NFL Sunday Ticket MAX 2018
-This offer mentions a possible Advanced Receiver fee of $15 that's also charged, why is that different from above?

Couple Questions:
-Can someone who knows their billing practices compare the 2 above offers to let me know if one is clearly better?
-Where I will be moving I have an up to date Satellite/LNB and coax going to 3/4 rooms, but the 4th room will require a cable drop, is this considered a part of the 4 room installation? If not, what's the charge?
-What equipment will I likely receive? I have 2 4K and 2 1080p TVs?
-Are there any bill charges besides taxes/fees they aren't disclosing in these 2 offers?

Thanks so much for your help, I want to make the right call with a 2 year agreement!!

that will most likely be an hs17 and minis.
with all the bugs, i would wait

The comparison was between the new customer and the offer to come back to DirecTV and I was trying to figure it out between those two. Are you saying the current devices are so bad it's better just to not have service period?

I have the HS17 I’ve had no bugs or problems with mine I enjoy it a lot imo

I would suggest -if your OUT -stay out no matter what the offer - the gift cards are a crap shoot - a lot of complaints on the AT&T site of never getting them. for your peace of mind move on

you also asked what equipment you would get.
what did you have when you were with them?
did you have the new gui? some hate it, some like it

i suggest looking at the dtv forums also

I agree

Ok I’ve researched quite a bit and it looks like I’d get a hs17 and 4 genie minis. Assuming I decide to go with these since they would be the same in either option. Can anyone help compare the two offers I have spec’d Out above? Also will the installer do 1 coax drop or will that be a custom install with extra fees?

The Installer will run the lines to wherever needed.
You've decided to go with the HS17 and Minis ?

They said that would be my only option with 2 4K TVs. If I said I only wanted 1 4K I could get an HR54 and C61K +2 Minis for the same price I would assume.

Oh, thats because the HR54 can only stream 1 line of 4k while the HS17 can do 2 at the same time.
Do you plan on watching 4k on both at the same time ?

If not, get the HR54 version and only hook up a C61k to your main 4k TV.
What you could do is do that plan with the HR54, then you could always pick up another C61k and add it to your 2nd ... remember that it only handles 1 stream to you still can't watch 4k on both at the Same time.

Thats the way I would go.

Ok that sounds great on the equipment side. And it sounds like they would do the cable drop for no surcharge. Can you dissect the 2 plan choices above? I can't tell which is a better deal because of the way they are presented.
