Had DTV installed and they can't find my account at directv or ATT. I signed up for Select package and am being billed for regional sports fee.

I don't get any sports with select package am I supposed to pay for that fee?

Also how do I get any support and from what number as noone can find my account anywhere even though I can logon to ATT and see the information with an account number.

can you login in at directv.com?

if you have an account number it should come up in their system

who did you order from? maybe they can help

I signed up with att and they gave me a 9 digit account number so I dont have a dtv account number.

but neither ATT nor dtv can find me even though I'm watching TV.

do I have to pay regional sports fee with Select?

Best of luck, what I have gone through with service the last 2 months has been mind boggling stupid!....Hope you get things straightened out!

att? like an att store? they are really a third party seller. tons of issues on the dtv forums with people signing up there. i would go back to them and get them to straighten it out

att.com

just gave them my receiver ID and it is registered to some lady who had it before so I got some lady's used receiver. pathetic!

they do not have my name under that receiver ID and can't help me. I ran a hard credit check to go through this???

who did the install? directv or did they contract it out?

but used receivers are not unusual, especially an hr24, hr34, hr44
maybe even hr54

Mastec a 3rd party. DTV cannot give me support saying that receiver is owned by someone else?!?

just found this guy's post at ATT same situation.

Unable to access content on directv.com or Directv app
AT&T customer no service reaches new heights. I had fiber and directv installed at my house 6 weeks ago and have spent 30+ hours on the phone with different call centers.

First, it’s important to know I’m an RC1 customer which I’ve gathered through my troubles. This is At&t’s Unified account system for wireless, directv and internet. The reason the this is important is I’ve had numerous agents insist I’m not a customer. It’s amazing to give them the serial number and receiver card number and still have Directv agents and even a supervisor tell me they can’t help me. I responded with the question “so you don’t have the ability to look and see why this receiver and card are accessing your network?” Truly incredible

After I learned of the RC1 designation, I’ve been able to say “you’ll think I’m not a customer but look in RC1 system.” Which leads to the problem that hasn’t been solved for 6 weeks.

When I try to stream online through the directv app, the system also thinks I’m not a customer. It tells me I have no channels or entitlements for any and all content. Yet I’m an XTRA package customer. Apparently this is a known issue they escalated to tier 3. I was supposed to get a call back two weeks ago three different times and an email follow-up from Tier 3. Apparently, AT&Ts technical engineers are as incompetent as their care agents as none of the follow-ups occurred. Not once. And I still can’t access any content or connect to my DVR from the app"

I don’t believe that. Receiver ID or card will pull up your account every time.

The only time what you described will happen if the box came off the installers truck and was not activated.

tech went to job a, upgraded receiver
went to job b, used old ones from job a

i can see that, never heard anything positive about mostec

Another reason to go with a local retailer, if you have a good one.

Carefull about that ....
Many ATT stores are corporate and have a cess to set you up and are NOT 3rd party.

Sounds like that recvr came from someone other than D* and was a lease that should have been sent back from what it sounds like.
