I've been having trouble getting 4 degree spacing to work on the GeoSat 90cm dish. The LNB holders are just too wide to get the LNB's close enough together to make it work. I'm considering purchasing this item (although I'll be looking for it on Ebay because $14.50 shipping is outrageous on a small $5 item). Any thoughts? Anybody used one of these before with a Geosat? I'm looking to use it for 103/99 or 91/87.

You will also need bullet LNBF's. As a normal LNBF will not work even in that holder. I don't know if they have them anymore. Yes, there shipping has always been that way.
 
I’ve always pondered if cutting off some of the scaler ring on the LNBF will negatively affect performance. Any ideas?
 
That whole system was designed for people who wanted to get the Seventh Day Adventist channels from 101 and some of the other Christian channels on 97. Maybe they dropped it when the Adventists moved to 97?

I use one of them for 125/121, although, its no longer needed as they discontinued the 121w channel i watched. Ill have to figure out another use for it. They work quite well.
 
Yeah, but you have to buy the dish with it. Not that I’m opposed to having another dish, but I already have 4 ;)

Basically, it looks like $99 for the dish, $5 for the bracket and $50 for 2 of the bullets

They sell the bullets individually for $48, so they are basically giving one away.... it DOES make you wonder

Just thinking out loud, but could you maybe find the style of LNBF you need somewhere over seas? Just a thought.
 
I designed the 4 degree bracket for the GSP 90cm dish about 12 years ago. It was produced to be used with the GSP SL1/SL2 bullet LNBFs. Since those models are now NOS and priced so high, the Inverto BLACK MultiConnect Single LNB would be a suggested substitute.

LNBFs with any scalars larger than the 40mm clamp opening will not fit into the dual clamp. Alternately, it would be possible to remove the plastic housing and cut away the scalar at the adjoining point to allow two LNBFs to sit flush next to each other. I did this in early experimentation and @wescopc has a thread here on the forum on trimming KU LNBFs for 2 degree mounting.

Be sure of the exact skew angles before cutting the scalars. Optimize the skew with the bracket set to the midpoint offset skew (a point that is 2 degrees between the two target satellites). Example: if targeting satellites 97/101, set the bracket angle for 99w to set the two LNBF centerpoints at the correct height. A suitable feed cover would need to be fitted to prevent water from filling the cavity.

Produced step by step documentation for installing and optimizing the dual bracket kit. This material may still exist either in the SatGuys equipment guides or on the SatAV website.

This one? Inverto BLACK MultiConnect Single LNB, 23mm, 0.2dB

And I would need to use the adapter(s) that came with my GeoSat LNB holders to make that fit in the dual bracket, right?
