I doubt if AT&T is worrying about it. They win if people go out and buy HBO GO and they also win if people drop Dish and get DTV, Dtv Go, or Uverse instead. They give HBO/Cinemax free for three months for all new customers, which is also a benefit. Contrary to what you read here, Dish isn't better than DirecTV. It is about a tie at best. I think DTV has better sports and programming, but it is close. DTV will haggle with you all day if you try to cancel, and they gave me $300 as a new tv/internet customer. I think this is a death match for the two companies and AT&T has the edge. Dish doesn't even have an Internet service or wireless cellphone to leverage against Dish.
My point is, don't hold your breath for this to be settled soon .
