U528 new software 12/11/2018 on hopper 3 DVR

Good morning my friends new software release this morning mine got added at 2:18am HipKat please check on the software notes for this new software release Thanks Allen

Mine came through at 2:41 AM central.
Soon as I hit the home button it was obviously sharper, more pop, everything is definitely at a higher resolution.

It may be my imagination but the guide seems crisper?

When I checked the diagnostics to see which version I had it was also much clearer.
 
Got mine at 3:17am today. Definitely more crisp look in guide. Didn’t get 527 so not sure of differences.
 
Did a forced update this morning after seeing U528 available. I usually don’t watch the process all the way through but did this time. Never noticed a external hard drive test. Is this new?
 
Are you folks having any problems with Netflix trying to get it to go ultra 4k hd? I had to yesterday add a WiFi extender to my frontier modem doing about 30mpbs connected the 4k tv that also does Netflix in 4k good so far but when using the Netflix app on the hopper 3 dvr still getting shows in high definition not in ultra 4k hd could someone please from dish please check into this I do not anyone has the problem too also thanks

Try doing a Hopper 3 pull the chord reboot and see if the the Hopper 3 Netflix app Ultra HD 4K category list shows up. That is what I have to do sometimes when the Netflix 4K listing is not there.

Did a bunch of times dish needs to look into this has to be software related to the Netflix app I think so

Yesterday I forced 527 and then 528 appeared this morning. Interesting - I didn’t see any guide difference with 527, but do now. Seems to be greater contrast, rather than actually sharper

I updated both of my Hopper3 receivers to U528. I tested Netflix and I am able to watch UHD content (3840x2160).

A glitch found already - watching a program from Saturday, paused at roughly 1:40 of 2:00. Went back 10 seconds while paused, then hit pause to unpause. Needed two presses and then it suddenly jumped to the :51 point, which is where I had started watching from. This was on a Joey.
