The OFFICIAL DISH / HBO Thread

My 8 tracks fell apart years ago and went in the garbage, but I have a whole stack of good vinyl.

I still have a few dozen 78 RPM shellac records from the 30's and 40's. Fortunately, I copied them to tape and then to CD's years ago, so I can still enjoy them from time to time without dragging out the old turntable.

I have 2 daughters and my wife is continually saying why cant one of them look like me. Married 42 years and know when to keep my mouth shut!!!
I’m still learning. Married one year May 9th... I would probably correct her. However our kids are 7 and 10...

But to stay on topic, I would only subscribe to HBO consistently for $12 monthly and no more. The value is just not there anymore! That is if it came back to Dish. Otherwise I will do the Amazon Prime for a short time then drop.

I just noticed on "The Roku Channel" app on Roku devices you can subscribe to both HBO and Cinemax without the need for Amazon Prime. And it's a free app to download on your Roku! You can get a 7-day free trial on both (which is what I'm doing), then it's $14.99 a month for HBO and $9.99 a month for Cinemax. There is a very limited live channel access that you can have with it. You can watch HBO 1 (East and West) for HBO, so 2 channels, or Cinemax 1 (East and West). I wish you could watch more live channels with it, but that's all they offer.

I’m hoping you’re talking about “The Roku Channel” app on Roku (of which I stated), because I remember when I used the HBO Now app on Roku and there is no live feed on its Roku app. I’m just not sure if you misworded your post or something.

What they need to do is put MAX Go on Roku and the rest. I have Roku in my living room and Fire TV in my bedroom (built into the TV we bought) and no damm MAX Go. Still stuck watching Tales from the Tour Bus in my phone.

And I obviously have my way of accessing the content. I know, since I'm a Dish sub, I shouldn't have access to HBO Go and MAX Go.

I’ve always felt this forum has been a place for knowledge, experience and opinion sharing. But there is the occasional troll. I could be wrong
