Local channel connector

I hooked up one last night for my neighbor and got 62 local channels.

My AM21 doesn't get half the channels.

Does anyone know if a local channel connector will work with an HR24?

No, only the HR44/HR54 (and not the HS17 or HR34).

The LCC and the AM21 get the same channels when connected to an HR44/HR54 so you must have an HR24, which only uses the database and doesn't show the channels that it can pick up OTA but can't match to the database.

Nope ....

As rad said, the LCC won't work on the HR24 pr those other receivers outside the HR44/54.

Tried it all different ways on one of my HR24s here. Disconnecting-reconnecting. Unplugging the receiver, connecting the LCC then powering up the receiver back up, etc.

Nothing ....

The receiver just flatout doesn't detect the LCC's presence.

Well, that was a dumb move ... them not making it to work with everything, that is.

Well if they're not going to add LCC support to the HS17, which is their newest STB, why would they bother themselves to add it to older STB's?
