I suppose the answer is yes, but I have a 4K Joey connected through an HWS, so I won’t get 540 on the Joey?
You should get 540 just fine on your 4K Joey even with your HWS. You can test that right now. Go to your 4K Joey and tune to 540-01. You should see a splash screen for the Super Bowl right now.

i have channel 538 and the next channel is 823.

Channel 538 is the info channel and says “dish 4K ch540 only available in AT120 and up. It also says 4K usage requires the Hopper3 receiver.”

Looking at the DISH webpage it would appear that you need the Hopper 3 to get 4K on that 4K Joey. You would get HD programming from the Joey with other receivers.

I retired my second HWS over a year ago in favor of the 4K Joey, which I purchased for a very good price. I haven’t seen the need for the H3 as only a few occasions I needed more than the 3 tuners. I’d like to watch the SB in 4K, maybe next year!

Do you, by any chance, have a streaming device like a 4K Roku, 4K FireTV, or 4K Apple TV? If you do, there is still a way provided you have enough internet speed for it.

I can access channel 540 by directly inputting the number, but I cant make it a permanent channel in my guide because it doesnt show up

I was able to install the Fox Sports app on my 4k HDR Sony TV. Will I be able to watch the game in 4K HDR?
Load the app up on the TV. Then go to Schedule and then to Sunday. You should see all the Pregame, Game, and Postgame in the schedule. If you also see a yellow 4K HDR badge with those programs, yes, you will get the game in 4K HDR.

Thanks, I checked and it did not show the yellow 4K HDR badge. Fox Sports kept asking for my provider which I skipped being I was streaming.

If you have 120 or higher with DISH, go ahead and use your DISH credential. It opens up some things.

Two weeks ago I was told by a friend at FOX that DISH would be carrying the Super Bowl in 4K. After that I read it in an article.

But as of now I am not 100% sure if this is going to happen or not.
