Dish Scapes on 199 is interesting

Other new scenes are bats flying across the screen at twilight, teleporting birds during the day, a deer walking across the meadow, and of course...Bigfoot. :clapping
Are all of these scenes in addition to the existing ones, or were some of the existing scenes removed?

Some of the duplication was removed. They are also doing a better job of randomizing the scenes. In other words, everything that happens during the day scape still happens at least once during the loop, and the same for the night scape. However, the events do not necessarily take place in the same order each time through the loop.

So, if I were to record one whole loop, I wouldn't miss anything, right?

Until they add more like the Leprechan.

That is correct.

I was only kidding about the leprechaun. While I would like to see them do that, I would be very surprised if they actually went to the trouble of adding that, especially since they have not done so already along with all of these other changes.

By the way, here in Ohio, St. Pat's Day also happens to be election day this year. I wonder if that will increase turnout for the Green Party. :biggrin

Same here in Florida. Don't think I'll be going this year.:usa

I also enjoyed finding the additional features - Bigfoot, Deer, teleporting Birds. It is good to see that Dish is always trying to make improvements for their customers. Keep up the good work Dish.

Bigfoot, Deer, teleporting Birds

I saw bats... I saw the flying saucer twice. One of those apparently crashes behind the treeline and causes a big lightning-filled fireball. The other flying saucer does not. I've seen eyes pop up, stars fade in and out, the alien tree grow and wither, fireflies, and of course shooting stars. During the day the clouds blow to the right, and at night the stars rotate like we're looking north.

I watched for a considerable length of time and didn't see any of the 3 you mentioned above. :(

We've seen everything but Bigfoot

That part annoys me. We're looking at a wide, dust-rich part of the MIlky Way, including the Rho Ophiuchi complex or a reasonable facsimile thereof. So we're looking south, and the stars are rotating the wrong way.

That's because he isn't real.

But I saw him. :D

Just record the entire daytime segment and playback at 4x FF. ;)
I just couldn't resist getting in that jab.
For what it's worth, judging by my recent experience using Wally and Hopper Duo, the 15x is just as usable as the 4x used to be when I was still using ViP or older DVR's. In other words, I think the speeds are mislabeled (15x performs more like 4x, and 60x performs more like 15x) but the functionality is still there. 300x is still very fast, though.

I noticed that the Devil's Tower in the Dish Scape is a mirror image of the picture that TheKrell posted in post number 70. So, that may explain why the rotation direction is also reversed.

Are you saying that the DishScapes image and the mother ship image were both taken from north of the Devil's Tower, i.e viewing to the south?
