Just to wrap this thread up and maybe help the next guy, turns out my issue was the "skinny coax" from the LNB to the base turret of the Winegard Travler - the line that went to Port B was grounded out. The LNB was fine, although I now have a spare just in case. Thanks again to all of you for the help!

Thanks for reporting back Gregg. Let me ask, is that skinny coax a single wire or does it carry all three ports? Another way to ask is are there 3 skinny coaxes?

There are 3 individual skinny coaxes in a mesh sheath that each carry their own port. Now that I have everything working again, this restores my ability to upgrade to the Hopper 3/42 switch set-up if I want - I have everything to do it now, but am going to wait until after a big loop out west with our bus next month.

Thanks for that. I’m not an RVer but I’ve helped a bit when folks are using Trav’lers and attempting to make something work with the DISH equipment. That skinny coax is something I was trying to envision. I knew there had to be some transition cable from the LNB ports to the Trav’ler ports. Seeing the cable itself makes total sense now.

Glad to help and you guys here were a godsend. I purchased and installed all my own equipment, so DISH was no help and Winegard insisted they never heard of the problem and therefore it wasn’t on their end. Since I don’t have a good independent installer in my area and limited info on the topic, you all got me to the right fix! Thanks again for being here and for all the help.
