ATSC 3.0 Discussion

It's going to be like the numerous OTA pay TV providers that have come and gone. I'm betting more people would get Orby in the extreme rural areas (likely demographic for the bit-starved service) than to pay some service fee for a box that gets channels at 1 megabit/sec bitrates.

Has anyones got the Kickstarter ATSC 3.0 STB yet, and if so how was the tuning in ATSC 3.0's signal that is active in your local TV markets? :hungry :clapping

They are not supposed to arrive until end of September. They were delayed and missed the first shipping date. They are now supposed to leave on a container ship Sept 2 and arrive in the Port of LA in late September.

The tweet things, don't say much about the ATSC 3.0 stations and reception information's on signal quality.

However, if they tweet more information then would be very helpful to say at least.:hatsoff

I am looking forward to the benefits of ATSC 3.0 vs 1.0, but it will take some time before all media markets and media companies are finally on the ATSC 3.0 bandwagon...
