Thinking about picking up a Raspberry Pi 4b and building a dvr for OTA tv. Do I have to worry about getting stuck with a Chinese clone? Anybody else using one with Channels dvr software and an HDHR tuner?

I would not worry to much about that. I have several for different reasons or projects, from the first one up to the pi 4, CM4, and pi zeros. Never used one for OTA DVR here since I am in a bad area for OTA.

EDIT: I meant to put in. Just to be sure, use pishop.us.

Mike I agree with Michael, get it from the Pi shop. They also sell Cana kits on Amazon witch I have no problem with. Get a kit with the approved power supply and a fast thumb drive. The USB thumb drive will run much faster than the SD card. A 950 or 955q tuner will work fine with the Pi operating system. Also will work fine with a TBS 5520 SE if you want to try update DVB.
