That is Very incorrect ...
Credit card run on internet as low as 1.5 .... been doing that for many many years now.

On a side note, I as a Residential person cannot get 100 mg for under $80.
Which is ridiculous.
Fiber is another pipe dream, people talk about fiber for those same rates, not here.
Credit cards will run on dial up The point is NO business is running with a 1.5mb line its 2022 you cant run a business on that

Any business that doesn't need internet for anything more than credit cards can.
I'm sure there are thousands of businesses out there that don't have high speed internet.

Damn
Comcast 400 gig is only $60
Heres another great Comcast deal.

Or get gig-speed internet for $44.99/mo for 24 mos with a new Xfinity Mobile Unlimited line.

Xfinity Internet required. Reduced speeds after 20 GB of usage/line.

The part that has me about this is the reduced speeds after 20 gb, thats ridiculous in this day and age, but they can get away with it i guess, as long as other companies do it as well, they will be fine.

That is for their mobile phone, that is why it says line.

The price yes, I am talking about the throttling, Comcast does not slow down Home Broadband.

When I had Comcast in Michigan, speeds always exceeded 1g, in Florida, a tad under with Charter.

While I agree with that Apple probably will not handle the Commercial Side of NFLST, is DirecTV even wanting it, what would be the rights fee, it it worth it based on what comes with NFLST are subs to DirecTV for Commercial Establishments, is the rights fee for Businesses more then what they would earn back in revenue like for Personal.

It has been already reported that TPG Capital wants out to make money on their 30% investment, since DirecTV is not spending any cash on future development, who would cover the rights fee, TPG or AT&T, I doubt AT&T since they just lost 42 Billion on Warner (paid $85 billion for Warner a few years ago, just sold it to Discovery for $43 billion) and has a bunch of debt vs cash on hand ( as of December 2021 AT&T had US$182.1b of debt, an increase on US$155.2b, over one year. However, it does have US$21.2b in cash offsetting this, leading to net debt of about US$160.9b.).

I'm sure Directv would want to keep the commercial contract as they currently have nearly 100% of the sports bar market because of the NFLST exclusive.

They know exactly how much revenue comes in on the commercial side as a result of NFLST so they would know what price they're willing to pay. That's a lot more fuzzy on the residential side because they've used freebies as a come on for new subscribers and subscriber retention. They've always "lost money" on NFLST in terms of subscription revenue, but they made it up in other ways.

Obviously it comes down to money, but Apple doesn't have any other B2B businesses and would be happy to wash their hands of it at a price that would allow Directv to have some profit margin built in. If they choose to get NFLST it will be because they want to drive new subscriptions to Apple TV+.

They want to add consumers as subscribers, the kind who will watch the other programs on Apple TV+ (which I'm sure would be heavily advertised on NFLST in the two minutes of "local" advertising per hour) along with Apple hardware - the timing would be great for advertising the new iPhone early in the season, and probably new Mac models later in the season. Businesses don't watch Severance or Coda, people do.

You've stated this explicitly a couple of times now, and it calls into question the rest of the points you keep trying to make.

A recent interview said B2B could be a $50b segment for Apple in the next several years.

How many neighbors do you have on the same node?
each house has about 1.5-2 acres of property, so not that many.

Almost all of that is businesses buying hardware which doesn't require much difference in post-sale support.

Apple doesn't provide anything to help manage iPhones, iPads and Macs in a corporate environment like Microsoft does for PCs - they rely entirely on third parties. Apple doesn't even sell a server, or have a server version of macOS.

So can someone dumb this down to me, if Apple gets it, as reported, does that mean no more TV portion for people like myself with crappy internet?

NFL really is money hungry, don't care that not everyone can get the high speed internet, our only choice is Spectrum, and they suck, or we could go DSL LMAO, so ridiculous.

Not going to please everyone with any solution, but ultimately far more will have access to this programming than do on DirecTV.

So the laymen recap:
Instead of a satellite or cable provider, out of market NFL games are expected to only be available only as a streaming service from one of Apple, Amazon, Disney/ESPN. All indicators at the moment point that it will be Apple, but we have no idea what the cost, service requirements, etc would be.

Whatever happens would begin in the fall of 2023.
