MLB 2022 Season

I’m curious to see the premiere of the Sunday morning game on Peacock. This week it will be simulcast on NBC (Sunday 11:30AM ET)
Should be a good game, Wacha has pitched well ...

I'll have to see if I remember this game being on this early ....

Q. Is the game on Peacock the Free version, or do you need to pay the $4.99 (premier) ?

A. Looks like is Premium sub only to watch games ....

What happens if you go to the Premier package, watch the game and cancel next day, are you charged for the month ?

Watching the White Sox-Red Sox game on Apple TV. All I can say is yikes!!!! It might as well be a Cape Cod League game.
I had a few strange things this week....No pregame show?...Spoiler alert, the delay!...I happened to pick up my phone and my sports app was opened to the game...The Apple feed was 45 to 55 seconds(if not more) later than the real game...I also casted it to the tv again, the picture on the computer was far better than the one on the tv....Havent had that happen this year?

Not sure, but most of these apps have a 7 day free trial. The game tomorrow morning is being simulcast on NBC, so there is no need (at least for now) to subscribe.

I noticed this also. I get alerts on my phone when either the Red Sox or their opponent scores, so this was a huge PITA.

Peacock’s MLB presentation is light years ahead of Apple. Everything from cameras, graphics and announcers. Peacock will be using analysts from the two teams involved. Today using Steve Stone and Kevin Youkilis. The play by play announcer is Jason Benetti, and he is very good.

From what I read Jason Benetti will do all the Sunday morning games and they will take one announcer from each team for color.

You are correct. For example, next Sunday’s Peacock game will have Mark Sweeney and Andruw Jones representing the Padres and Braves.

The Red Sox have a grand total of 16 home runs.

Kyle Schwarber has 7 and Hunter Renfroe has 6. And don’t even get me going on the state of the Red Sox bullpen and bench. If organizational malpractice was a thing, the Red Sox would be sued.

What changed from last year?

Last year is the problem, and I admittedly say that in hindsight. The Sox won with smoke and mirrors last year, and predictably management doubled down by doing even less to improve the team.
They do seem to be a Jeckle and Hyde team. Good one year, horrid the next,

Justin Verlander is having a great night again ...
Goes 7 1/3rd of no hit ball ... only 2 walks .. he's only thrown 85 pitches half way thru the 8th inning.

The hit was a solid base hit to right field.

89 pitches thru 8 innings ...

Astros 5
Twins 0 into the 9th

The wonderful Media was all over the yankees 10 game winning streak a few weeks ago ....

I follow the Red Sox and the Astros .... While the Red Sox are struggling so far, the Astros have recently gotten it together (Altuve came back and Alverez is hitting, pitching is coming around as well, Verlander has been a Rock so far)
The Stros have quietly won 10 in a row as well, which I'll be honest and tell you, it snuck up on me as well.
Haven't heard anything from the media about it ... lets see if they can keep it going, I believe the yankees lost game 11.
