This is something DISH is working on. For the most part EVERYTHING is being done on the Hopper 3 and then output to the Joeys.

This is something they have made great strides on as you should have seen it before.

I will check again tonight to verify, but what I am referring to is the ability to use the voice search from within the application. If I search from within the home screen it will include YouTube in the search results along with other results. I have not been able to get it to work within the app. It uses Google assistant to do a web search not specific to YouTube. I want to be able to search within YouTube and only have YouTube results like I can do on virtually every other platform.

From the Home screen, have you tried including "on YouTube" in the voice command? "Find [fill-in-the-blank] on YouTube." That is not as convenient as being able to do it from within the app, but it may limit the results found to only showing YouTube results.

Also, unless recently added the Spectrum app is not available in the Google Play store so I would still need to use my Apple TV or another supported platform.

Darn! That is one of the apps I was counting on being able to use on the Hopper+, so I could have all of my subscription channels together on the same device. I guess I'll stick with my Roku. No Dish Anywhere on Roku, though. If there is a device that has both the Spectrum app and Dish Anywhere, then that would be a real winner.

You can stream Pandora without using DISH. I have both Pandora and Xm on my Amazon Fire tvs.

So, it seems like you do not download all the ATV files from Technician settings ahead of time in the Hopper 3, but rather connect the Hopper + and then let it download the files? Something strange is going on with my Hopper +. It tries to boot up and you can see the Dish Logos but then I get no HDMI input signal as attached. I am doing something wrong. The Hopper 3 works fine and the Wireless Joey works fine as well. Can't get the Hopper + to connect.

That seems to be a common "glitch" techs are reporting. The first Plus I installed did that and I had to replace it

Maybe it's the phone pictures or the images as they appear on the forum here, but I see totally overprocessed colors and faces that have no details and look like they have 10lbs of makeup on hiding any creases, lines, etc. I would hate life if this was how my picture looked.

The hair looks like it was painted on. No details at all.

I agree, it was like Vivid Mode times 10.

It's kinda a long story but my first web experience was WebTV it asked for my name then next screen said "Joseph" is not available but suggested "josephinelcajon" Meaning Joseph in El Cajon a small city outside San Diego where I grew up and lived at the time. It stuck I never changed it is what 35+ years! Never anyone seen Josephin until the past two or three years now they all see it first. I have had it so long I can't imagine changing it. I joke to people that no nothings been cut off below the belt

Dish CSRS do not really want me to upgrade my equipment to the Hopper +. Last night, one told me the advantages of having equipment that I already have, and the one just a few minutes echoed the same thing, saying the Hopper 3 is the best option. I might as well forget it, and be happy with what I have
