I saw several places mentioned abothe the motor used on the MTI 2800A positioner. I still heven't found a user manual this unit, but I got it dirt-cheap ($2.00) and wanted to use it in my radio communications and cellular antenna setup.

My question : Are these or any other motors still available for this PenTec MTI device? Approx how much and where can I locate motor(s)?

Any suggestions would be greately appreciated.

are you talking of the main motor (the one that would move the satellite dish east-west in the intended application) or the polarization servo motor?

if it's the main motor it can drive any typical 36 volt actuator, and the feedback is with pulses just like is still used today. Note that it will power the motor even if no pulses are received (unlike more modern positioners), so it must be used with a bit more caution.

I have attached the manual that I found a ferw years ago
