NFL 2026-2027 Season

Netflix is expanding its relationship with the NFL, adding three regular-season games to its existing Christmas Day double-header as part of a four-year extension with the league through 2029-30.

The streaming giant said it will carry an LA Rams-San Francisco 49ers game from Australia on September 10, on the first weekend of the season. On Wednesday, November 25 (the night before Thanksgiving Day, Netflix will have exclusive rights to a Green Bay Packers game against the LA Rams at SoFi Stadium. The company also said it has taken rights to a Week 18 game on January 9, the final day of the regular season

Ok, so NOW the NFL is playing games on Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving ) as well ?

Netflix was asked to bid on a Package of games, but refused ... Personally, I would think This would qualify as a "Package" of game, just not what the NFL hoped for.
I think the NFL was hoping Netflix was interested in the Outside of the Country games.

Side note ... I wonder when/IF the Sunday Ticket will ever Drop in price with all these games Outside of Sundays :idea :blah :coco

Not sure that's a good assumption, as with no more MNF double headers I'm not sure there are actually fewer games on Sundays by playing 1 game on a Wednesday.

Schedule out tonight, should be able to find out for sure then.

I am refering to the games NOT on Sunday ... they all count.
Thursday, Saturday, Sunday Night, Monday and now Wednesday. (fortunately it's only a few weeks for the Wed and Saturday games)

Don't forget the Black Friday game they have had. (Not sure if they still have it)

The Bears are playing against the Lions on Thanksgiving day so I doubt the Bears are playing the next day. Plus the Eagles are playing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving so they also won't be playing the day after. There is a Black Friday game though with Pittsburgh playing against Denver at Pittsburgh.

I know, read it again. With no MNF double header games, that means games available to be reallocated to Sundays or available for something like the Thanksgiving Eve game without reducing Sunday game inventory. You seem insistent on assuming otherwise.

The value proposition of Sunday Ticket has never been tied to a specific number of games on Sundays, but rather access to all of your out of market games on a given weekend - or more acutely the number of non-nationally broadcast games not aired in your local market of your favorite team(s) it provides access to, for most subscribers.
