Hi All, this baffles me. The Azbox Premium HD+ even blind scanned those 4 TPs and logged all 350 channels from TuVES as per Lyngsat with good signal on Telstar 12 at 15W. Yet the meter AI Turbo S2 refuses to lock them !. They are 45 000 SR with as per Lyngsat 4/5 FEC but the Azbox reports only 2/3 FEC. They are DVB-S2 but with QPSK modulation. I tried instead of Auto setting the FEC manually to several combinations, I tried shifting the frequency in small steps to no availability.

What is the max Symbol Rate this meter can handle? Is it really at is max or maybe above it with roll off and everything? Or is it that the meter gets overwhelmed by this type of signal like not enough processing power?

This is the first time I see my meter not locking but then a consumer receiver even blind scanning the signal fine. Even on the meter Spectrum analyzer the 4 signals are strong

Any tricks to help the meter lock those TP?

11733 H DVB-S2 QPSK 45000 4/5?

Have you done any firmware updates to the meter? Perhaps it needs a newer one.

Yes I did Primestar31, it is fully updated and when set to use Universal LNBF here in the North East it also has Telstar 12 @ 15W on its satellite list with several TPs already set but not really those 4.

BTW This morning on the meter Spectrum Analyzer I just noticed 2 more Vertical signals, well 3 but 1 is too narrow and weaker, to the left of Reuters Live (11183V) but even though 11165 V next to Reuters is even slightly more power or level neither the meter nor the Azbox can lock it or lock them . I suspect they probably are 16APSK or maybe 32APSK which the meter or Azbox can not handle. It seems to be 10-11 MHz wide and more likely operating at 11115 SR as the 10995V TP the meter has from its updated firmware.

Can someone confirm it is 16APSK or 32APSK at 11165V 11115 SR? Or maybe it is 8PSK but ... VCM instead of CCM? This AI Turbo S2 and Azbox only handle CCM 8PSK signals.

I'm in mid-Michigan, and I've never received anything farther East than 30W Hispasat, sorry. Besides that, I'm C-band only at the moment.
Thanks Mike, I just noticed on FlySat that there is DVB-S2X and also S2 higher than 16APSK on that bird as per this link so I am guessing that is the reason I cant lock them because my old equipment is only capable of S2 8PSK the most. They look strong on the Meter Spectrum so being an incompatible format for my equipment makes sense as an explanation.
