First Look: The New Weather Channel Interactive

They moved it from option 1 to option 5 now on the "News". Yes there is a "Radar" feature when your bring it up you will need to scroll over to "Radar".

Tried option 5 TWC weather and got the "not currently available on this receiver" message. Maybe that feature hasnt been rolled out to my 211 yet.

would I see one of those Dish Interactive icons at the top of the screen during the local on the 8's? if my receiver had the propper software?

No, you have to go to channel 100 and access TWC weather.

I emailed dishnetwork today and asked them when the rest of us would get this on our receivers their response was 2-3 weeks for the remaining 75%.They answered my email rather quickly usually it takes a couple of days.I also asked about the local on the 8's and they told me it would be available soon but they didn't give me a date. I'm guessing 2-3 weeks when all receivers have the interactive turned on they will turn on local on the 8's.It sure would be nice to have this working by Thanksgiving.

In my email they also gave me a list of receivers this will work on.

111,211,301,322,351,411,501,508,510,522,622,625,721,811,942,3900 and 4900.

Yea my father has 2 301s and one of them gets it.The other one says not available yet check back later.

I'm thinking weekly because they usually announce their rolling it out on Wednesday.

It will say that until it gets activated on your receiver. I know several folks that are getting the same thing.

I get the local weather on my Cadillac GTS and on my GTO but I can't get it at all on my 1969 Camaro and only occassionally on my G06 Corvette. Also my 722 and my 002late gets it sometimes but not all of the time. If I could get it on my Simth and Weston .38 or even my .22 derringer I would be more than pleased. For the VERY FEW of us that just have a TV and not all of these jerks that start spouting all of the numbers to try to impress everyone with how much they THINK they know what's going on when they DON'T know squatt and what they post means absolutely nothing to 95% of the subscribers to this web-WHEN WILL WE GET LOCAL WEATHER ??????
