I'm calling you out Salsadancer7!!

How about fans from other Big East schools? Good riddence Miami. I am so glad you left and didnt tarnish the Big East. The league never looked better for football and all sports for that fact. Our basketball got better. Couldnt stand you when we played you and wish you all the ills you deserve. Was that harsh? Sorry, but Miami and the ACC deserve all thats coming to you.

LOL....I love it!! Good riddence??...if it weren't for Miami, Big East Football would be NOTHING!! The Big East would NOT have an automatic bid in the BCS IF Miami would have never shown up. The ONLY thing I will give you is that Miami has very little when it comes to a basketball program. Oh and the football Big East was never tarnished by Miami, because the best behaved years that Miami had was while in the Big East. So, I would suggest that UNTIL YOUR football program starts winning significant games....stick to basketball.

I agree with this, also am waiting to see what the Big East does in football next year.
Lets see if it was a one year thing ...maybe maybe not, but I do not see West Virginia and Rutgers being there, year in and year out, although Louisville has stepped up pretty good in receint years, although they still have not played the big boys.

didn't west virginia beat georgia in a bcs bowl game this year? georgia was favorites because they had won the SEC. then, west virginia beat the crap out of them!!

I think Rutgers is for real...not national contention for a championship real, but a good football team that WILL surprise some teams real. Schiano is a very good coach and a BETTER recruiter...he has an "in" for the Florida talent and I would not doubt that he will be picking up the better kids in his own back yard very soon. Louisville....I don't know yet. West Virginia, the same.

Big East football will always be better then the ACC, The U signed there death sentence when they left the Big East.

Wake Forest ACC champion give me a break.

We'll see in the future if the Big East will contend with The Big 10 or the Pac 10, time will tell.

Besides Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State the Big 10 is rather mediocre if you ask me.

Ahh...in your intial statement, you are very wrong. UNLIKE most college teams that have a bad run of seasons where the teams go UNDER .500....Miami's bad season IS .500 or better. They will never suffer something like this because of popularity of the schools program IN THE state and around the country(The U is either VERY liked or VERY hated). The Big East is still and INFANT when it comes to being a powerful football conference. So for now, the Big East is still a basketball conference...or for at least a few more years.

I also agree with you when it comes to the Big Ten, they, to me...are an overrated conference when ti comes to football. I still think that the best conference is the SEC, then the Big Ten and Big 12 tied for 2nd.

I use to love the Pitt vs. Miami games, Miami would of been in a BCS bowl almost every year if they stayed in the Big East. Now The U or VA Tech can't even win the lowly ACC.

Well at least Miami is better than Notre Dame by being in a conference with there other sports, where Notre Dame football is independent and there other sport are in the Big East, They should kick Notre Dame out.

You are 100% correct.

The SEC isn't that great either if you take out the top three teams this year.
Arkansas, Flordia and LSU, what powerhouse do you have left this year ?

You cannot look at just the bottom teams, the SEC changes around who is good from year to year just like the Big Ten does.
Before this year, when was the last time Arkansas was a top team in the SEC ?

They have only been in the SEC since 1990.

What about Auburn and Tennessee? They are in the top 25 every year too. Alabama is most years too.

and don't forget georgia!! plus, from what i'm hearing spurdog is going to have a top five recruiting class at south carolina, so they may be a team to deal with soon!!
