I recently purchased a Directv HD package with only one reciever. Is there ANY way to get around the $4.99 fee for adding a second receiver? Can I just purchase a receiver off of ebay & activate it (instead of leasing?) Would this help in waiving the fee?

Even if there is an option to add a second receiver but only being able to watch the same thing on both receivers.
