With your equipment you can receive the following in the thread by Iceberg "What can I get with an 18" dish or a Dish 500??" -

http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=34131

Not much but a few channels.

I did read that! Very good read. I scanned the transpoders on Echostart 7, which I beleive has Angel One, but it didn't find anything.

I repeatedly scan the sats at 110/119, but nothing is coming up at all.

I don't think you can get Dishnetwork with Directv LNBs?

yes you can. DirecTV LNB's are "Legacy" in DIsh world.

There is a catch with the Phase III. The only LNB that will work right is the 101 one (the far right if standing behind the dish). The 110 & 119 are set up goofy. 110 takes TP's 28,30,32 and turns them into 8,10,12 and combines them with 119. 119 on some Phase III only go from 22-32 (the DirecTV transponders)

so 101 is the only one that works. LNB LO 11250 22k off

I didn't mean physically interchangable, rather you could use the same dish and lnb for Dish Network or Directv. I know for a while I was switching between providers, and all I had to do was re-aim the dish. Kinda nice :)

you still can. For a while I had a DirecTV LNB for 119 and a 18" dish for 110 combined with a SW21 to my Dish subscription

If working with one or two recievers, Legacy setups will work just fine (and pretty easy). When you get to 3+ receivers then it gets complicated

My Dad uses a D* dish pointed at 110 and a Dish 300 pointed at 119 with a pair of sw-21s for his two receivers.

Neighbors trees keep him from having LOS for both bird at one spot in the yard.
