    SNY Mets Countdown Update

    It's up, it's down, it's up, it's down. What an _ _ _ hole. (appologies to Airplane)

    SNY Mets Countdown Update

It's hard to believe that SNY is tougher to negotiate a contract with than the YES Network but Yankee fans saw opening day that year and us Mets fans get to see the DIRECTV logo. If I was DTV, I would take that logo down. DTV-No Mets, DTV-No Mets, DTV-No Mets

    SNY Mets Countdown Update

For those of us sitting at our computers at work, can those who have access to DIRECTV let us know if and when SNY comes on the air. One hour to opening day................and counting.

    SportsNet New York, Now Available!

Trust me. Dish customers will make that decision for them by leaving and going to FIOS TV, DIRECTV or (god forbid) Cablevision. After 6 happy years with Dish, my wallet walked on over to DIRECTV. I can only think, many more will follow.

    SportsNet New York, Now Available!

If this is the way it falls out (SNY on DTV, not on Dish) then too bad for all the Dish customers on Long Island (there are many). Those who currently have Dish are more than likely Met fans or not fans of baseball at all since those who watch the Yankees switched to DTV years ago. I just...

    R15 and XM Music

Odd thing with regard to the R15 and XM music channels: When you change to any XM channel, the song info comes up a line at a time and then dissappears leaving only the static (not good for burn-in?) DIRECTV Music screen. There is no further song info displayed even when new songs are played...

Dishing it in the NY Daily News

Had to laugh this morning. There was a Mets/Yankees 2006 pull-out section in todays NY Daily News. Turning through the pages, what do I see? - A full page add by Dish Network showing all the great packages they offer. What they fail to mention is that they don't carry the Mets or the Yankees...

    New DTV Install

I am having DirecTV installed on Thursday (after more than 6 years with Dish). The install will be for 2 rooms with a DVR R15 in each. Programming will include the Total Choice Premier package (no additional HD or internationals). I live in New York. Question: Which dish should I expect to...

The New York Television Sports Scene – What a Joke

MetsBlog says still no SNY on Channel 60 as of 5:05

The New York Television Sports Scene – What a Joke

It breaks down like this: Cablevision Fox Sports – Islanders, Devils MSG - Rangers, Knicks Yankees YES Network – Yankees, Nets Mets, Time Warner, Comcast SportsNet New York – Mets So now each cable/satellite provider must negotiate with four RSNs (3 different owners); each one...

    Is Dish launching SNY?

I called and got someone in India who had no idea what baseball was. Folks, these reps from India may be nice people but I would much prefer to speak to someone who knows what baseball means to the average american, thank you.

The equivalent - Dish to Direct

Assuming Dish doesn’t pick up SportsNet New York and Direct TV does, I would most likely make my jump. I currently have one DVR 522 that allows me to view television independently on two TVs. I subscribe to the Everything Pack w/locals with warranty and DVR lease fee ($99.98). If I came over...
