    Invacom qph-031 Lnb (Problem)

I'm hoping someone can help me solve a mystery. How did the amber lens on my lnb disintergrate? I've been happily watching AMC 4 and Galaxy 19 for over a year on my Geosatpro. A few days ago my signal was gone and I discovered the lens broken out, leaving small bits around the edge. There had...

    Problem with DMX741U ??

Instead of running between my sat dish and TV; I'm considering buying a maxpeak sam meter. Does anyone know if it will work with a DMX741U?

    Problem with DMX741U ??

Thanks Long Hair. This will take some time as I'll have to use my Geosat in the house and adjust dish & lnb on my fence; quite a distance from the house. Should be fun. Thanks again

    Problem with DMX741U ??

I mislead you I think. THe Chieta is not a 22khz switch. I planned to take each of the two band lead to a different input on the chieta (it will hold 4 leads) then to my geosat. I thought that 22khz was not operational unless the jumper was used. In my setup it wouldn't be used. The geosat will...

    Problem with DMX741U ??

No, I wasn't planning on using the jumper. I was going to route the two signals through an external Chieta switch. Then I could have 'C' band on 1 and Ku on another.

    Problem with DMX741U ??

No, I didn't change the setting. I guess I should reconnect and try it? It doesn't explain the huge signals on the Digisat III but if this works...fine. Thanks Long Hair

    Problem with DMX741U ??

I can't figure this one out. Hopefully someone can. I ordered and received a DMX for my 1.2 meter offset dish. Found out I needed the 'horn' for 'C' band so I ordered that. I've been receiving about 8 sats on my Geosat Pro at about 54 degrees north on Canada's west coast, of course all on KU...

    My other hobbies.

It's been an interesting journey; and actually similar to others in this group. I have a background of chemistry sets and rocket building as a teenager. (I have a few scars from that experience.) Have always been involved in furniture building and home crafts. Built a stereo receiver/amp from...

    C/Ku Band

Thanks 1Adam12 , LAK7 and AcWxRadar. A lot of decisions to make. I think I'm going to try the single c/ku lnb first with the homemade scalar ring. If that doesn't work well I'll try an offst C lnb as suggested. It seems not to many are trying this on a mini BUD so I'll post my results. Thanks...

    C/Ku Band

I'm a liitle new. Could you be a little clearer? " A wrench socket at 3:00 oclock" what does that mean?. I googled 'Walrus1957' and saw how to build the flat scalar; very nice! This sounds like a lot of fun. Could you suggest a brand/type "C" lnb? Thanks

    C/Ku Band

Need a little input here. I have a 1.2 meter Winegard dish with a Staab HH120 motor on a pole. I'm at 53 degrees North so I need the larger dish. I have a Nfusion Nuvenio for a door stop and can"t WAIT util my Geosatpro DVR 1100c arrives. A couple of questions? I can't find...

    The Best FTA Receiver

Thanks It sure helps to have access to all that knowledge out there. You've made up my mind for me. I'm going to get a Pansat 9200HD, but I think I'll wait a couple of more weeks as the prices may go down in the New Year. I must say the Geosat Pro was tempting but difficult to get in Canada and...

    The Best FTA Receiver

I need some help. I'm located north of 53 degrees Lat. on the Pacific Coast. Any signals I get from the sats are a little weak so i need a good sensitive receiver; with blind scan and hopefully an accurate signal meter. I'm only interested in the Ku band as my back yard wouldn't handle a C...

    Ku & C Band Combo

Now. I've got my motorized 1.2 meter dish up & running and pulling in a lot of sats; ( with a great deal of help from this site) in true fta fashion I want MORE! Can I attach a C Band LNB beside the Invacom Quad 031 unto my 1.2 dish? I know little about C band so any help is appreciated.

    Help with linear sats

Hello Starman345 A blind scan works! I 'm learning a lot today. I assumed a good quailty bar had to be present for a scan. Thanks for your help...and Lak7 and Iceberg as well.
