    Absolutely, I didn't say anything about not being able to speak one's mind. I just don't see how it's productive to blame DISH for everything that goes wrong. Especially when they make it so easy for customers/retailers.

    I don't see what the big problem is, every retailer knows if you don't plug into a phone line you run the risk of having this sort of problem. They should be informing their customers, it's their job. It's the customers choice to either follow the rules, or dish out the extra money for the phone...

    Why did they install a Dish1000 without you having a an HD receiver? I thought they discontinued the DN522, and switched to the DN625.

    If your only getting signal from 110, that's your problem. After you moved, and hooked everything back up - did you run a check switch test? Or verify you were getting signal on satellites 110 and 119?

    If it's a huge deal, you could always just set a timer for a show in the early morning hours. That way you wouldn't have to see the "press select" logo.

    You can shut off the automatic updates. Is that what your referring to? Menu ---> Preferences ----> Updates

    It must make two of us, cause I'm having a hard time understanding your question. Channels 16-03, 16-04, 16-05, 16-06, and 34-01, 34-03 are off-air locals which like she said they don't get guide info for off air channels. Which I haven't seen, it normally just shows up as Digital Service

    The way I understand it is, that new customers now do not have to pay an upgrade fee to get the ViP622 receiver when they first activate. There is a $200 rebate for new HD subscribers, and I don't believe you are supposed to be paying an HD enabling fee if you are subscribed to HD package...

    I've cancelled a bunch of accounts. And I've never once been treated anywhere near like that. I've been disconnected a couple of times, but it's not really a big deal. Just call back and talk to someone who knows what they are doing.
