D. Charlie will announce the sale of Dish Network to Halliburton, its new exclusive no bid contract to supply programming to military families and military installations throughout the world and his own new position as the Pentagon's Chief Communications Misinformation Officer.
Dish gives the guy what he wants after complaining and he still cancels to go to Direct TV.
With his reasoning abilities, judgement, communication skill as evidenced by his spelling and punctuation aplumb he could just be an equivalent replacement for the man in White House after graduation. :)
Yawn.
All of this posturing over new customer signup deals is silly.
What always matters is the non-special monthly cost after the new subscriber deal ends.
I'd like to see someone list a clear comparison of Dish vs. Direct monthly cost for full HD programming and all fees with a HD DVR...
I deleted mine without watching.
Dish needs to realize this sort of thing just annoys the subscribers. It is not seen as a valued service by most.
Boxing is such an idiotic "sport" anyway -- two humans trying to beat the crap out of each other with their hands.

DirectTV has been claiming in one form or another that lots of HD channels are "coming soon" for a couple of years now.

Dish would sell a boatload of these "external storage devices" if they'd hurry the hell up and make them available.
I've been out of the loop for awhile.
Is this thing going to be a proprietary enclosure that we can slam our own bare drives into or is it going to include the drive?
I'd...
The new sets have dropped in price dramatically over the past two years -- I'd suggest trading up -- works with wives and should work for your display!
I have a rear projection Sony LCD with no burn-in whatsoever.
I enjoy most all HD content and I enjoy watching the various news channels, even Faux News.
The sooner they all go HD, the better.
Bill O'Reily's skin imperfections should be even more entertaining in HD.
I like Voom.
And chocolate.
And Al Franken.
And the 99-cent Chicken Sandwich at the Carl's Jr. drive thru window at 2 AM.
And if others find my likings disagreeable I couldn't care less.
