I tried as well to watch the Bama game from CBS out of Birmingham and it looked like snow vision. But I have never been happy with CBS from the Birmingham market.

It would also hold together just fine at a higher frame rate. 30 frames a second is not enough for fast moving images to keep up with. Slow moving object on my 65" screen look amazingly good. Something moves fast across my screen and its pretty bad. Also someone earlier asked why we have...

Good luck with the picture quality. If you have a 52" high quality HDTV or smaller you should be fine. If larger I would recommed not signed a dang thing till you actually see local SD channels and HD channels both and make sure you are happy. Once you sign, your stuck with it.

I have the H20 and 5lnb and get pixalition on fast moving HD contect. Thats because of the frame rate from D*. My SD channels just look bad sometimes.

Jam, I am with you. I just switch to D* from E*. E* (to me) had the far better picture quality on both HD and SD channels. And I have noticed too that some days picture quality on D* comes and goes.

I also purchsed an HDMI cable from monoprice and it was awsome. I have always purchased Monster brand and paid out the you know what for it. Never again. Monoprice usually offers two version of their HDMI cables. I chose the more expensive one of the two but it was still under $20

So it has nothing to do with the H20? And isn't E* doing the same thing? If so, why is it more noticeable with D*?

D* also does not offer a multi-room two TV DVR like E* does. Nor do they have plans to offer one in the future.

I talked with someone at D* yesteray and they said they had a big meeting on HD items recently and were hoping to have the unit available in April as of now, but she said not to hold her to that, but that was what they were shooting for.

The guys that installed my system this week wanted to put the OTA on a seperate pole. It was not the type that snapped onto the rim of the dish. It might be different for you. I told the installer not to do that part and to take it off the work order. I am going to figure out someting else...

I also have a problem with the mirroring fee charged to one type of customer and not another. I would suppect there will be a big uproar over this from existings customer who have paid alot of money for their equipement and get charged a mirror fee for each reciever and now new lease customer...
