I can't get OTA as I cancelled beofore VOOM went dark so does anyone want my receiver? If not, the CSR at VOOM said that the parts inside might be worth soemthing to certain people. Can anyone help?

What do you mean OTA receiver?? I can't do anything with VOOM. Not even change channels. I can turn it on but that's it.

I know that I need to wait but I really wish just ONCE the CSR knew what they were talking about. Telling me on or about May 1st the guy would come to pick up my receiver which never happened. I gues I will just wait for a phone call or letter. The receiver is useless to me.

I cancelled back on April 11th and my credit card got taken off. I have no more bills.

No one has picked it up yet and the VOOM dish still sits on the roof. They said last month they would come pick it up but I have heard nothing from them since. Anyone know what's going on?

The CSR cancelled my credit card too so there will be no mistakes. He seemed to be on the ball.

I called VOOM and the first thing you hear is a recording saying VOOM will be shut down the 30th and is not taking any new orders or making any new installs etc etc. I stayed on the line and I asked if I cancelled if I will still be charged for the month of April and if I could upgrade to VA VA...

And we get Fox Sports Regionals!!!!!! I am sad to see VOOM go as the only channel I wanted them to add was Fox Sports West. VOOM had the best clicker(remote control) and menu I've ever seen, and of course, the HD programming. We always have the memories people :)

Oh ok thanks for the link. It's a shame that VOOM was ahead of it's time. I really dug the menus, controller and of course HD offerings. I will always have the memory though.

I just came on these boards and I am reading VOOM is shutting down the 30th? I have not seen a link to a website or a press release. Do I make plans to get cable?? What the hell is going on?
