Anyone in Sub-Saharan Africa? Reception question.

Neat! Didn't know lyngsat had competition. That is good enough for me. Thanks for the heads-up.

Anyone in Sub-Saharan Africa? Reception question.

RRMedia did supposedly move us over to SES-5. I am trying to verify that it's actually there. Just because they say it's on, doesn't mean it is. When we launched the channel on AMOS-5, they accidentally put on some music station that was not LRN.FM, and I would not have known and they would...

Anyone in Sub-Saharan Africa? Reception question.

I don't know of another FTA hobbyist board. Figured this was my best shot.

Anyone in Sub-Saharan Africa? Reception question.

As you may be aware, AMOS-5 has gone dark and programming is being moved elsewhere. RRMedia has moved their mux to SES-5. If you can receive SES-5 and don't mind a quick rescan, please see if you can find channel LRN.FM: The channel should be on SES-5 at 5 degrees East, Transponder: 4.951...

    Outernet Questions

Sure - it's all up on the outernet discussion forums. The PCTV 461e, a Raspberry PI B, a USB Wifi device. Whether or not that will all work when I try to put it together is another matter. Right now, I am unable to get the 461e to see any transponder besides 11874

    Outernet Questions

I've purchased the equipment to setup Outernet, but I want to test the 461e first. Plugged it into the same line which was feeding my Traxis DBS4000. The Traxis can see hundreds of channels, the 461e only 19. Note, I'm not powering the 461e from the adapter, only via USB. Is that why it...

Do any receivers have silence detection and fill from USB?

I'm looking specifically for audio silence sensing. I didn't really expect I'd find it. I'm using Ku-band for audio delivery and rain fade could be an issue, so I'm looking for the simplest workaround. There are really neat IP audio receivers (Barix Extreamer) that have the ability to...

Do any receivers have silence detection and fill from USB?

Ahh, thank you. I should clarify, I'm looking for products that are available on the brand new market.

Do any receivers have silence detection and fill from USB?

In regards to your suggestions, and idea as to a vendor? They are hard to track down online. Thanks!

Do any receivers have silence detection and fill from USB?

I don't see a silence sensor / audio replace feature on the 4800, limited info available about the other model. Were you just posting those as a response to my question about rackmounts? Thanks!

Do any receivers have silence detection and fill from USB?

Rackmount Commercial Receivers If there aren't such receivers, what other rackmountable receivers with balanced audio outputs are on the market? It's pretty difficult to find anything besides the DSR-R100 from GeoSatPro (one of which I own).

Do any receivers have silence detection and fill from USB?

This is more of a professional broadcasting feature, but I figured if anyone would know the answer it would be you guys. I'm looking for a receiver preferably with balanced XLR outputs and silence sensing with an option to replace missing audio with files on a flash drive plugged into a USB...

New Radio Channel on G19 - Can you verify?

Any chance I can get you to put LRN.FM on "The List"? Thanks again!

New Radio Channel on G19 - Can you verify?

Yep, it was the trees. Cut 'em back to this, and can now receive my channel with about a 58 quality. Going to tweak the dish one more time to see if I can peak it any better, but all is well! Thanks for all the help!

New Radio Channel on G19 - Can you verify?

Excellent! Now to actually successfully receive the signal myself... Did I inadvertently buy a channel on the weakest of the transponders?
