New to Direct TV (Install Question)

I was just trying to save the purchase of another dish. (SWM Slimline) I have so many others around the house, why not use them if I can?? If I cant, or if it is too complicated, I wont. I cant get DTV to install, I am in Canada. So I am on my own, to get the SWM Dish installed. I do not...

New to Direct TV (Install Question)

The dishes that I have are your standard 18" or 20" dish. I also have a T55 Toroidal that I could use for the 101 and the 119. The other 3 would be the 18" dish. I would need a Ku LNB for the 99 and 103 I beleive?? I am not sure if this would work.

New to Direct TV (Install Question)

Hello all.... I would like to set up my own DTV dish. I am thinking of getting one of the newest HD DVR receivers. I have been told to also get the Slimline SWM dish. I know that this dish feeds off of 5 different sats. My question is.... Is it possible for me to use a bunch of other...

    Worth switching to BSC621-2D?

Sounds like it is not worth me trying. Wonder why the installer seems to think it is such a great idea?? I was not about to purchase anything from him. He even gave me the link to a couple of places I could look to find this C/Ku LNB.

    Worth switching to BSC621-2D?

Hi people... I am in Ontario and right now I have a 1m motorized dish with an Invacom LNB. I can reach from about 72W over to about 130W (+/-). Not finding much interest with what is offered on the Ku side of things and was told by a local installer that I can get some 'C' Band channels if I...

Need a good Sonicview 8000HD File

Turbosat... I have searched over the past few months for a solution, all the files seem the same. That is why I decided to ask for one that is known working for someone else. Chapelrun, I will try them out. Thank you!!

Need a good Sonicview 8000HD File

I have the latest factory file loaded and I keep getting a "software message update required". It keeps losing signal on 83W and some others. Then comes back. If anyone can pass along a good working file for this receiver, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

I have re-scanned many times, but I do not see Tuff TV. Can you guys provide the details? Maybe I can punch it in. Thanks

No Tff TV on Coolsat 5000?

Hi Guys.... Since RTV West is now Tuff TV, I now get a black screen on my Coolsat 5000, but my Sonicview 8000HD is fine. Is the CS not capable of this channel?

    Where is RTV West??

RTV East is coming in strong, but no RTV West. Funny thing is, signal meter is strong at about 90%, but no picture or sound. This has been going on for about 1 week now. Did I miss something?

    HD channel list?

Does that mean that there are others not on that list that you do spend time on? Reason why I ask, I just hooked up a Sonicview 8000HD as a second system, and I am curious as to what to expect in HD programming. I am on Ku band from 62 to 129 (+/-).

    HD channel list?

Just wondering if there is a list comprising HD channels? Something that would list the channels and where they are found, either Ku or C band. Thanks

Found a Sonicview 8000 for $25.00 at a Salvation Army store earlier today.

If you can tell me where exactly I can find those HD channels, I will be glad to let you know the findings. I have not spent too much time with the box, other than connected it to my set up where I had a Viewsat box (non HD) connected previously, with the hope of getting a few extra channels...
