    I also switched from Dish in Jun. Had no problems with them but wanted the MRV, Got tired of E* trying to figure it out. I now have 2 HR24s and love it, I like everything about D* better.

    I have been recording all episodes of Dexter on showtime, trying to catch up. Then I see some episodes coming on ch 101, but I have to set up another timer. Shouldn't one timer find all episodes no matter what channel a show is on. Hope this makes sense. Thank you.

    finding an installer

    Try a google search for installers in your area. The ones I like have a store you can go to and have everything set up so you can see what the system and equipment are like. That's how I made sure I got HR24s plus got to play with equipment for a couple hrs.

    Moved to Directv from Dish Network

    I switched on 6/26, mostly because of the fees. Also got tired of waiting for the VIP922 promises that still aren't available. The MRV is what really sold me and works great. We love the equipment and service. Haven't looked back, very happy with D*.

    How to find local dealer

    The local guys will usually be set up at County fairs also. It's worth the time looking around to find someone local.

    Welcome. I just made the switch on 6/26, couldn't be happier. Love the equipment and the service. Can't wait for the E* return boxes to get here.

    2 DVRS and MRV?

    You can watch recordings from all of them. When you bring up the recording it shows everything recorded, one play list. It's like one big DVR. It's a very nice system and mine has been working great.

    Don't hook up the ethernet cable. Try restarting the living room receiver and see if it works. That's what I did and it works fine now. I used the remote to restart or it.
