    Corrupted timers

That does solve my issue, is exactly what I did (after realizing what the issue was), and works just fine... but defeats (some of) the purpose of spending an extra $200 + monthly fee to get my on-line features. It's far easier to type on a keyboard to setup 60 shows than it is to try and use...

    Corrupted timers

So I had a tech come out (per the CSR - if rebooting doesn't work, it has to be replaced). He said "I don't know anything about these. We had one in the shop, but I've never used it." They guy couldn't even get to the timers without my help. In the end, he left without doing anything at all...

How are timers *supposed* to work?

I'm pretty new to Dish and would like some clarification on how the timers work. What I'd like to happen is to setup a show to record, set a limit as to how many it can keep (I.E. 3), and have it automatically cycle the latest episodes even if we don't delete the old ones. My assumption was that...

    Corrupted timers

Update - it occurred to me that since I created half of them on-line, perhaps I could solve my problem by editing them online... So I did. I was happy to see them all show up online correctly, so I went through each and modified them slightly - saving my changes after each. I then went back to...

    Corrupted timers

I've only had my 922 for a couple weeks now - just long enough to setup about 60 timers of every show my wife, kids, and I want to see. I did about half through the Dish website, and half using the remote control directly. We noticed when scrolling though the timers last night though that close...

    922 IR Remote codes?

The Pronto remotes are a bit different, but I did make some progress. I found the 722 codes posted at RC Forums: Dish network ViP 922 - IR Protocol?, but it's missing a few (Most importantly, the "Format" button). There are preprogrammed codesets for Dish on the Pronto software (Codesets 802...

    922 IR Remote codes?

I've got a new 922 (came with 2 remotes labeled 1 and 2), and I'm trying to get my Phillips Pronto universal remote programmed to work with them. I've enabled IR in the 922's setup menu... but now can't figure out how to get the codes into my Pronto. The remotes that came with it appear to have...

33 Timer Limit, No OTA Module, 500GB

I had the same issue with Sling that you have - it's the fact that the Sling firmware is separate from what comes on the receiver, and until your DVR downloads the software, Sling is unavailable. It took mine about 12 hours.

    DVR Folder Layout options

Just got switched over to a 922 after being on DirecTV. There are a lot of things I really like about it, but the one thing that seems to really bother me is the icon view of programs when looking at recorded shows. I'm using folders to separate Kids programming from Parents, but am looking for...

    Off to a bad start!

Are you kidding? It's cold *and* dark out there. Maybe you'd settle for a map. should be right in the middle - it's the blue/grey house that shares the sidewalk with only one other house in the map. Backs up to the walkway around the creek and has a dish just off the peak of the garage. The...

    Off to a bad start!

It's near the peak of a 1-story garage... Maybe 16-20 ft up from the driveway where they'd have the ladder. And the dish is probably about 2-3 feet in from the edge. I think they'd have a tough time doing it from the ladder (if not impossible), and if they fell off the roof on the wrong side...

    Off to a bad start!

I certainly wondered how they'd go about it when I called them initially, and I had plenty of suspicion that it wouldn't go smoothly - but at the same time, they didn't seem to have any concern at all. And after coming out, seeing the situation, and deciding against it, they still opted to just...

    Off to a bad start!

While I have no doubt that I'm legally allowed to do whatever I want, I bought into this place knowing the association rules, understanding the goal they're after (Victorian-esque look to the place), and having no desire to upset the neighbors. If I'm going to go that route, it'll be over the...

    Off to a bad start!

Admittedly they're pretty restricted as to where they can install it. We have restrictions of "out of sight" by our development, and we're in a valley, surrounded by trees - so the only feasible place is really where the existing DirecTV dish is right now. Again though, I have no complaints...

    Off to a bad start!

(please pardon and ignore my rant... I just like to complain) I was trying to convert from DirecTV to Dish, but it's just not working out for me at all. They told me not to cancel DirecTV until after Dish is active (thankfully!) because the Dish installer would take down the DirecTV dishes...
