Hmm, why not sell the 942 on ebay for $300+ and pocket the difference between the price and the $200 that DISH is offering. The difference would lie in the answer to the question of leasing vs. owning.

Interesting!. So this also does not have a slot for a CF card. Rather, one would have to use a USB connection to connect directly from cameras or use a cf to usb device.

Thanks Scott, and that brings me to the next question, which is whether I would be able to do a direct transfer from a 721 or 942 to a PocketDish device (say the 700E)? Also, is 40 GB the MAX size on HDD on the pocket dish? Are these available as of now? Is there a comparison available somewhere...

Does anyone know if I can copy programs from my 721 or 942 to an Archos AV700 100 GB (Archos part # 500717) not as in playing and recording, but direct transfer as if copying to a HDD.

Thanks for the responses guys. I already have the wiring for three cables coming into my home so I doubt if I would need any specific installation unless 942 refuses to work with dish 500 and I have to get a Superdish, which I highly doubt.
