As a retailer I will do a free site survey if it is in a reasonable distance, reason? because I live in a very rural area that is saturated with satellite tv and work is really slow so if we can get a new customer out of the deal we are happy. it takes 5 - 10 minutes to do a survey well worth it...

tried to program over and over and again with no success.

No fluorescent and tried even setting remote on tables and chairs while trying to program them

On the last 3 or 4 installs I have not been able to get the remotes to program to use the TV volume and power. I enter the model of the set and hold the remotes level with the receiver but it always comes up with "sorry can not program remote at this time' or something like that. does not matter...

Is your guide set on someones favorites list? Did you try to enter say 122 from remote?

I am fairly new at Directv installing and have a question I need answered. I am doing a Genie and 3 mini Genie install in the morning and after opening boxes I see no green SWM 4 way splitter so I dug this splitter up. Will this splitter work on the Slimline 3?

I have not seen that on any direct boxes but have a few times on Dish boxes. On Dish boxes the receiver must be 41 degrees or warmer to start up.

What we do is install HD equipment anyways but do not have HD programming added so if later down the road if they decide to get HD programming the equipment is already installed so it is just a matter of turning on the HD programming.

Tried to use old password but it would not let me.

mine does that often as i am connected to my hopper through a wireless router. I have to reset the hopper and re log into my router in order to get Joey working again.
