What if there is a wall jack already in both bedroom and basement -- will connecting the 211 to the bedroom jack, and basement jack to TV2 not achieve the same result ? Or should there be something that I need to change at the back of the 722? thanks for your patience in answering all these...

Does that mean I do the reverse and barrel connect TV2 from the bedroom back to the basement ? Thanks - PS

Thanks to you all for your responses. KAB: Since the basement is used mainly for games (ps3, Wii), we can sacrifice the SD signal from 722 there. On the other hand, I watch TV in the bedroom, hence HD and independent viewing is deal there. cheers, Punda

Thanks Bobby... The settings you suggested do indeed turn the receiver to sleep. But is there a setting to automatically turn off the receiver after sometime... instead of going to sleep. If not, then, there must be someway for the Harmony remote to Wake the DVR from sleep first before...

Actually, I don't have "On Always" -- but the "Inactivity" mode was enabled. So, I disabled that mode. I will update its effects, if any, later. rgds, PS

Hello, I recently got two Harmony remotes - 620 and One to control AV set ups in by living room and bedroom. The set up works, but the problem I have is with the two Dish network receivers - Vip 722 and 211. They often go to a sort of a sleep mode (after they have been ON for a while)...
