Sounds like it's on it's way out. I am on my 3rd 722...they all start with same issue....sluggish responses, and then freezes up and reboots. My last one wouldn't let me make any changes to priorities without rebooting. Crappy HDDs I would guess.

What about that square shooter? it's a lot more pleasing to the eye if it will work in my case. I didn't think i will need a conventional outdoor uhf antenna being so close to the towers, but i am not that knowledgeable about VHF/UHF ota signals.

I live in a highly wooded area in N.E. PA, but am less than 8 miles from the towers. I have no problem getting the 2 OTA VHF stations (CBS & NBC), but can't even get a picture for the UHF. I have bought 2 different $30 amplified antennas (radio shack and an RCA one from wal mart) with no success...

What a ridiculous topic, but what the hell....Doesn't the RCA VCR, even if it automatically FF thru commericals, still take longer to do that than hitting 30 sec skip 4 times?

I am hooked on Burnout 3 for my PS2 too! I know that with some vehicles, if you hold the boost button constantly (R1 for me), you will not hit the actual top speed. Make sure you press boost twice every few seconds and you should hit max speed, but it's still damn hard to beat those times. Also...

If you want to just burn an entire program and not have to deal with editing, then just buy a set top box and hook it up using s-video. Considering how cheap DVD media has become, you may not need/want to remove commericals. I have a VAIO Media Center 2004 PC, P4, 2.8ghz, 2GB RAM, 500GM HDD...

I have never had that happen to me. The only time i lose a signal is a few minutes before a HUGE storm hits (2-3 times a year) and only then it's only for a few minutes. Sounds like an installer problem.

I have a 508 and it does not scroll fast by any means. My 811 scrolls 3 x as fast but it doesn't have the extended program guide that the 5XX receivers have.

Is there any site you can provide which shows the specs for the adelphia boxes? Their website doesn't seem to show them? Also, they provided you with an HD DVR?
